• 1996-2003: Degree in Modern Languages and Literature, English and German, Translation Studies, taken at the Faculdade de Letras do Porto, Portugal.
• 1997/1998: One year in the University of Hannover, by the Erasmus Exchange Program.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Currently: Freelance translator for several private clients. Certified legal translations (court decisions, certificates, powers of attorney); technical translations as MSDS (material safety data sheets); translation projects about renewable energies (eolic power systems); mechanical translations; website translations.
• 2003 until the end of September of 2005: In-house translator for the company JABA-Translations, Vila Nova de Gaia. Translation of several kinds of texts (instruction manuals for mobile phones, automotive operating manuals, printer instruction manuals, machinery instruction manuals, financial reports, fashion catalogues, ad slogans, commercial letters, legal texts; proofreader functions; worked with several CAT Tools as Trados, Transit and SDLX;
• 2001/2002: Trainee translator at the company Inpokulis, Tradução e Eventos, Faro, Algarve. Legal texts as certificates, powers of attorney and wills; building contracts; tourism and travel texts.

• Output capacity: approx. 2.000 words per day, accordingly to the level of difficulty of the text.
• Translation tests: if necessary, I will perform a test of up to 300 words.
